Contact the Archivist

The vast array of more than 22,000 items in the Archive are essential to the work of the Fred Rogers Institute, but they also are intended to be a source for other research across a variety of fields. Students, researchers, educators, and the local community may request access to study Archive materials from Fred’s life and legacy as it applies to their work.

If you are interested in studying Fred Rogers Archive materials, please complete the form below.

Here is an overview of the typical process for studying materials from the Fred Rogers Archive:

  • Researchers complete the Contact the Archivist form below.
  • A member of the Fred Rogers Institute staff will determine if the research request applies to materials available in the Fred Rogers Archive, what materials may be relevant, access restrictions, handling procedures, and the scope of support needed.
  • Researchers complete an Agreement form for limited time access to Archive materials. Note that the Fred Rogers Archive operates primarily using digital files. If your research request is approved, the Archivist will send a link for you to access materials online.
