Fred Rogers appreciated the great role he had of being a television host that was with families five days a week. He took his work seriously and always insisted on the best for children. In 1975, Fred participated in a symposium sponsored by Johnson & Johnson. He spoke about the role television plays in family life and offered some advice for how parents can deal with its presence in their homes.
His advice is not about how much time children should or shouldn’t spend in front of a screen, but rather how children might respond to what they are viewing and how adults can help them cope with what is being presented to them.
