Dr. Angela Searcy holds a B.A. in English and Secondary Education with teacher certification a M.S. in Early Childhood Development, with a credential in developmental therapy from Erikson Instutute  a Doctorate in Education, and a Master of Jurisprudence in Child Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago and a graduate certification in Infant and Early Childhood mental Health from Erikson Institute.

An educator since 1990, Dr. Searcy has taught at all levels of education and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Olivet Nazarene University. She  is the founder and owner of Dr. Angela Searcy's Simple Solutions, an educational consulting firm. She has served in a variety of roles across the educational system, including teacher, neuro-developmental specialist, consultant, and coach.

Dr. Searcy is the author of Push Past It! A Positive Approach to Challenging Classroom Behaviors and Elevating Equity: Advice for Navigating Challenging Conversations in Early Childhood Education, both published by Gryphon House. 

Dr. Searcy is an internationally recognized keynote speaker and her work has been featured on WGN Channel 9 Morning News, WGN Midday Fix, WTTW's Chicago Matters, Chicago Public Radio, Chicago Parent, and Chicago Baby magazines.
